Basin Seafood & Fresh Fish Market: Fresh Seafood Dining Experience in Stuart, FL

This place served great service, food, ambiance and Southern hospitality. Basin is the first restaurant I tried since landing in N.O. And it won’t be the last time I visit. I can’t stop thinking about the chargrilled oysters! I also had the blue crab claws and those were delicious as well. The bartender Becca, made a tasty Watermelon Margarita and the GM Blake was so nice and recommended a lot of cool spots for me to check out in the area. I will definitely be back to try the coconut crusted snapper!

Everything we ordered was executed perfectly. I had the BBQ shrimp and cheese grits and it was the star of a great group of dishes. If you eat one place in New Orleans, which shouldn't be the case, I would recommend you eat here.

Wife and I walk in after looking at other places. We was very pleased. Grilled oysters was awesome. Wife had the crawfish patties with a red sauce. She was very surprised how good the flavors was. Of course I had some. Very good. The smash burger was very flavored and moist. She had the chicken and waffles. Great. In all. We will be back for dinner to try different items.

Such a great spot if you’re looking for some good food, service and drinks! They offer a great twist on some of the favorites such as crab beignets which is nothing like what you would think when craving beignets. These were so light, fluffy and filled with crab goodness! The blue crab claws were also amazing! Tender pieces of claw meat always shelled and easy to eat. The pupusas were also another hit with the crawfish! And the potatoes that came paired with the omelet stole the show! Large pieces of baked potatoes, so crispy and well seasoned! You have the choice of sitting outdoor or indoor and even at the bar. It just opened when we went so the service was quick! Highly recommend!!

Incredibly friendly staff in a quaint family-run restaurant. We went for happy hour for some quality Spanish wine to pair with their delicious New Orleans dishes. The coconut crusted red snapper was probably the best dish of our trip. The pic is a half portion since we split, so don’t get it twisted - it’s plenty of food!

The raw oysters & old fashioned were delicious! Perfect for an afternoon bite & drink while strolling the area.

Great food, great service and a friendly staff. We had marked Basin Seafood on Google maps because it looked and sounded good, and it certainly was. We had Blue Crab Beignets (wonderful), Crawfish Queso (very good but could use more crawfish) and a couple drinks. We went for a few items on the Happy Hour menu since we had a dinner planned elsewhere later. If we had more days in town, it would be great to have dinner here.

Amazing seafood spot. Out of the Bourbon Street chaos and absolutely worth the short uber ride. The crab claw app is a must have! The oysters were fresh and delicious. We each had fish and they were both tasty. Good portions and completely worth every penny! I’ll keep this on my list of places to revisit.
